The point of the meeting that generated these papers was not to establish a definition of liturgy but rather to incite people to reflect and think. This systematic arrangement of those papers will help readers to pose the question of "the meaning of liturgy" for themselves today; to reflect and think along with the authors; and, ultimately, to answer the question for themselves through their intelligent participation in the liturgy.
